Karolina Poczopko

MSc, Neuroscientist, Scientific Affairs Specialist

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Germany, where I completed an international master's programme in neuroscience -Neurology and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Tübingen (International Max Planck Research School, Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience). I have a strong background in the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders. I gained experience in brain neurostimulation through involvement in a number of research projects, conferences, and an internship at the Department of Psychiatry in Tübingen, Germany.

My professional experience includes working as a clinical research coordinator at TMS-Ambulanz, Neurology Department, University Clinic Tübingen), where I collaborated with a team specialising in EEG-rTMS therapy. Working in interdisciplinary teams has allowed me to combine scientific knowledge with clinical practice and develop skills in QEEG analysis.

In the field of QEEG, I have completed the following training courses:

  • EEG Based Stratified Psychiatry in ADHD and Depression: QEEG Validation studies of Brainmarker-I and other biomarkersDr. Martijn Arns (BCIA, BFE 2026)
  • The use of EEG and QEEG in clinical neurotherapy: from initial diagnosis to the planning of personalised neurofeedback therapy. - Piotr Sobaniec, MSc, PhD, BCN; Milena Żochowska-Sobaniec, MD, PhD (BCIA, BFE 2026)
  • Training led by Brendan Parsons (BCIA, BFE 2025)
  • Training with Dr Martins-Mourao (BCIA, BFE 2025)
  • QEEG Training (Neuromaster)

I am currently in the process of obtaining certification from the International QEEG Certification Board (IQCB), further developing my expertise in line with international standards for QEEG analysis.

At Magwise, I am responsible for preparing and interpreting QEEG reports, developing therapy recommendations based on QEEG findings, and implementing methods aligned with the latest clinical evidence. My goal is to continuously improve the quality of services by applying a modern, evidence-based approach to neuropsychiatric treatment and supporting innovative therapeutic solutions.

I offer online consultations where I explain QEEG results in a clear and accessible way, and where patients can also bring any questions or concerns related to brain health, neuropsychiatric difficulties, or topics discussed during medical appointments.

These sessions provide a calm and supportive space to explore individual concerns, better understand how the brain functions in relation to experienced challenges, and organise knowledge from a neuroscientific perspective. Please note that these consultations are educational and supportive in nature. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, and are not a substitute for consultation with a medical doctor.
